I started out photographing interiors in my mid-20s, but everything shifted once I had children. Picking up my camera to capture people felt different - like I’d finally found the thing I’d been searching for. The first time I photographed a newborn session, it clicked. This was it. I’d found the piece that had been missing, and I haven’t looked back.

did we just become best friends?

Ok. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true.
Letting someone photograph your life is a vulnerable thing to do. To let me in enough to see the less than perfect parts can feel scary. I get it. But life isn't perfect. Kids are messy. Houses get cluttered. Relationships get tricky. And isn't that just so beautiful? To be human is everything.

I'm an oversharer - it's just my nature. I also love asking questions and getting to really know people and their families. So by the end of our time together I can't help but feel like I've made new friends and have won over the family photo skeptics.

So, if letting someone in feels like a big ask, just know that we won't feel like strangers for long.

MY MAIN GOAL AS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

I can't go anywhere that may have cats available for adoption because I will 1000% end up bringing one home. I've accidentally done it 4 times.

Thrifting is my happy place. Nothing to do? Let's go thrift. Avoiding responsibilities? Let's go thrift. There's something about finding a beautiful vintage piece that just makes my heart go pitter-patter.

I love a good thrift haul

I LOVE a good black and white image. There's just something about it. Something feels off on the photo? Turn it black and white. The image needs a moody-er feel? Turn it black and white. It's always the answer.

LOVE NOTE FROM Brooke

Mostly about the in-between years. The parts that don’t always get photographed, but still shape how everything feels.

You'll want this later.
